Vulcan 5000 (Private line) - Against scale and rust
The Vulcan 5000 (Private line) offers you an eco-friendly water treatment system that protects your piping system and appliances from harmful scale deposits and rust. The system is based on the patented Vulcan-Impulse-Technology. It does not require chemicals or salt as in water softeners for example.

The three Vulcan effects
1. Vulcan stops scale deposits forming in pipes and appliances.
 Without the Vulcan water treatment, the lime in the water forms into burr-like crystals. The patented Vulcan impulse technology modifies the crystallization of calcium and magnesium using the natural process of electrophoresis. The crystals become smoother and rod-like and can no longer stick to each other. The lime is now washed away in the water as a fine powder. New deposits can no longer form in the pipes.
The scale also loses its ability to adhere to surfaces in the rest of the house, for example on shower walls and in sinks and basins.
2. Vulcan gradually descales the water pipe system
Two simultaneous processes take place in untreated, hard water. In the first process, scale deposits build up when lime (scale) crystals stick to each other and then on to surfaces. This first process also produces carbonic acid, which breaks down, or "resolves" the existing scale deposits. This is referred to as the "natural resolving process". Because the incrustation process is much faster than the natural resolving process, the pipe diameter constantly decreases.
The Vulcan water treatment system interferes with the incrustation/natural resolving process balance, as the new crystal structures can no longer form deposits. The incrustations of the first process are thereby prevented. The natural lime resolving process now needs only to deal with "old", already existing incrustations and can effectively combat them. Thus scale is removed faster than it forms. The pipe is cleared of scale. The surplus carbonic acid dissolves the scale from scale. Gradually and carefully, all deposits are cleared away. A final, very thin layer of scale is not removed however, but remains in the pipe to act as a protective layer.
3. Vulcan protects against rust damage and perforation
Copper and/or iron oxidation occurs in all pipes – especially in copper, iron or galvanized iron pipes– through contact with calciferous, aggressive water. These oxides seriously affect the pipe surfaces and lead to corrosion.
The patented Vulcan impulse technology generates an electrophoresis-effect which produces a protective metal-carbonate layer. Depending on the material of the pipe, this layer consists of copper-carbonate, iron-carbonate or zinc-carbonate and settles on all shiny metal surfaces. It protects the pipe from aggressive substances which could all lead to corrosion. With Vulcan your pipes are effectively protected.
Physical water treatment with Vulcan
What is physical water treatment?
The patented Vulcan impulse technology is based on the principle of physical water treatment. This technology works entirely without adding chemicals or salt. A special electrical impulse changes the crystallization process of the lime on a physical level, causing the scale to lose its ability to stick to surfaces.
Small change – large effect
In its original state, lime forms into burr-like crystals. These burr-like crystals hook on to each other and stick to all surfaces causing scale deposits to occur. The Vulcan treatment changes the structure of the lime crystals. The crystals are no longer burr-like, instead they have a more streamlined form. These mono-crystal rods are known as aragonite.
"Harmless" scale
The rod-like, streamlined lime crystals can now no longer stick to each other and exist instead as single, loose crystals. A matter consisting of suspended particles is formed - like a fine powder – which is washed away with the water. When dry, the lime ‘dust’ can simply be wiped away.

No chemical changes in the water
The chemical composition of the water is not altered. The elements and minerals important for people, such as calcium and magnesium, remain in the water. Because nothing is changed chemically, the degree of water hardness also remains unchanged by the treatment. The minimal change to the structure of the crystals, however, means that lime is now washed away as harmless suspended particles.

Cleaner piping system
With the Vulcan water treatment you are lastingly protecting your pipe system, without having to chemically remove the lime from the water. The patented Vulcan impulse technology influences the crystallization of the lime so that the new crystals can no longer stick to each other. Lime now exists as "suspended particles" in the water and is washed away.
Filters, shower nozzles and shower heads stay clean
Shiny, smooth surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom again
Scale does not disappear completely from shower cubicles, sinks, tiles, taps and fittings. Because Vulcan does not alter the chemical composition of the water, the lime remains in the water. However, the lime ‘dust’ which now exists can be removed easily with a damp cloth. Notably less cleaning agent is needed and the use of harsh detergents can now be avoided.
Household appliances stay clean longer*
Coffee machines, kettles, saucepans or egg boilers stay clean 3-5 times longer. In kettles, the water is first evaporated. The scale is left behind. The inside of the kettle can now however, be cleaned easily with a cloth. Tedious soaking in special solutions is no longer necessary.
Sometimes the heating elements/heating surfaces may show areas of scale which, due to the extreme heat, start to burn in on itself. We therefore recommend you leave some water in the kettle each time to prevent this ‘self- baking’. The lifespan of smaller household appliances lasts up to three to five times longer.
Saves detergents, additives and fabric conditioners
With the Vulcan water treatment, the surface tension of the water is decreased. Because of the physical water treatment, the water feels softer. On contact with other agents the water also behaves as if it were softer. In fact, because the chemical composition is not altered, the degree of water hardness stays the same. You will see the positive changes in the water, for example when washing your hands or washing your hair – the same amount of soap or the same shampoo will lather noticeably more. You can therefore reduce the amount of washing detergents used. Often, the use of special additives can be completely avoided.
* Closed water heaters (electrical) up to 70º C product temperature have a layer of fine, soft lime on the inside and on the heating element. This coating does not need to be removed as it does not disturb the transfer of heat. Water heating appliances have a lifespan of up to three times longer.
