My husband and I live in a house that is 21 years old. Due to minerals in our water, we had deposits in and on all the faucets, shower heads and tub spouts and had to replace all of them. We updated the master bath a year ago and replaced the toilet, as well. We noticed that a hard mineral ring was forming at the water line in the bowl. We tried a lot of different products that claim they will remove the minerals, but they didn’t work and we were wasting money and time. The other toilets were older and had heavy build up in them. We considered installing a water softener system, however, that would just add a lot of salt to the water and would not be good for our health or our garden. It would also mean lugging large, heavy bags of salt from the store. A friend of ours was at the Sonoma County Fair and stopped at the Quest booth and learned about their product called Calmat. She followed up that visit with some research on the internet and then told us about the product that was being sold at the fair. We decided to buy it and give it a try. We had our doubts that it would even work, but even after just a few days we noticed a difference when we showered. The soap and shampoo lathered much more easily and we started to need less detergent in the clothes washer. We also noticed that our skin was not as dry. Also, the hard mineral ring in the new toilet is getting thinner and will disappear soon. We couldn’t be happier with our Calmat system. It really makes a difference and we no longer have white spots all over the dishes and glassware we wash by hand and leave to dry. As if it could get any better, it is so easy to install and you don’t even need a plumber to install it. My husband was able to install it himself and we then helped our friend install hers. Thank you, Quest! We love your product. Peter and Ronda. Santa Rosa (Larkfield-Wikiup), CA |

I moved to CA from Massachusetts a year ago. I purchased a house and did a lot of remodeling and updating including replacing a bathroom. Within 6 months, calcium deposits had formed on all the fawcetts and were moving up the outside of the fawcett. I replaced all the filters on all the fawcetts and now have a film that has developed on the new granite in the bathroom. So when I saw the Calmat at the Sonoma County Fair, I decided to give it a try. I did not want a standard water softener which involves adding sodium to the water. It was quickly and easily installed about 4 weeks ago and I have noticed changes already. The hard water toilet rings have almost disappeared, soap lathers quicker, and my grass and plants have improved dramatically. I'm very pleased with the Calmat - it softens water without chemicals or any change to plumbing. There is no damage to the environment with this product - this is very important to me. I certainly would advise anyone with hard water issues to investigate this product. Price and value are outstanding. Gail. Santa Rosa (Larkfield-Wikiup), CA |
